Groovy Kind of Love! Mailed Artists Books

This is another collaborative artist book project originating from the Cheryl Penn's "Collaborative Mail Art Artists' Books" Group on the Book Arts Ning.
Group members suggest project themes and Cheryl Penn gently keeps projects focused and on track. The relaxed pace encourages creativity, and deadline extensions and patiently awaiting arrivals of the finished books is the ultimate reward -- always a thrill when one of these arrive in the mail!
The group has doubled since I joined a year ago from about 15 to 32 or so members, though projects generally allow for 6 or 8 participants in a cycle. Each cycle may take from 4-12 weeks, but there's no hard and fast rules outside making and mailing the artists books. Each artist produces their own design in a 4x4-inch accordian format. These pictures show my contribution for February's "Groovy Kind of Love"... the theme suggested by Gillian Neish.

Today I'll mail six of these to group members from all over the world... in just an hour or so they'll be on the way to South Africa, New Zealand, UK, Italy, Scotland, and Argentina!
