In town I found this interesting seasonal display.
Thought I better post it fast as everywhere I turn I see nothing but Christmas merchandising!

if you look carefully in the right center of the picture you can see the cage (which is easier to see in the first pic) that the inmates use to get fresh air or have a smoke.

This is a mannequin that resides on the 2nd floor of the science building.
To be hi-larious sometimes "someone" positions her in front of the doorway. You can see the figure in the 2nd floor window from the other end of campus (if the lights are on) and I assure you it is spooky and disconcerting.
The good news is that we've apparently conquered the bat infiltration that only added to the creepiness...

So... if you are standing about where this picture has been taken from, you'd see this spookular silhouetted figure standing in the second story window over the portico. First time I got caught out with it the hair on the back of neck stood up.
Then I had to walk down there and open the building (of course the rest of the building was in complete darkness) and turn off the 2nd floor light and put her back where she belonged. Pretty funny.
This town seriously embraces Halloween. I've blogged about Raven's Grin in the past, but it bears repeating. Lots of fun.

It's a good thing she's dressed. Otherwise, that would be a bit creepy ; )
